Lazio will compete in the competition for the first time in eight years, and will play the first leg of their qualifier on 18 or 19 July, with the return leg a week later. The draw will be made on August 7.

The group stage, which will feature both Juventus and Roma, will get underway on September 15.

Due to a change in the rules, Juventus will be top seeds as Serie A champions, and therefore cannot meet Barcelona, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica, Zenit St Petersburg or PSV Eindhoven.
