Filippo Inzaghi has officially been sacked as Coach of Milan after just over a year in the position.
The club released a short statement on their official website today confirming the 41-year-old’s expected departure.
An agreement with former Sampdoria boss Sinisa Mihajllovic to take over the role is thought to be in place and his appointment is likely to be announced soon.
“AC Milan communicates that it has fired the first team Coach, Filippo Inzaghi, who the club thanks for all his work," reads the statement.
Former Rossoneri striker Inzaghi was appointed last summer but struggled during the 2014-15 season, leading the club to a disappointing 10th place finish.
