Milan comeback for Boateng?

Kevin Prince Boateng is reportedly very close to a return to former club Milan after Schalke 04 sacked him.

The midfielder is a free agent, having seen his contract terminated by the German club in May.

According to SportMediaset, the Ghana international is in advanced negotiations for a comeback at San Siro.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic also on the verge of a return, the old guard is rebuilding in the Rossoneri camp.

Boateng had left Milan in 2013 for Schalke, going back to the land of his birth, but retains strong ties with Italy.

He and fiancee Melissa Satta were spotted at San Siro as guests of Milan for a game in recent weeks.

However, Milan Channel – the official television station representing the club – denied the reports.

The 28-year-old is well-travelled, playing for the likes of Hertha Berlin, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, Portsmouth and Genoa.
