The 23-year-old is extremely quick and, after going through every level of the Belgium youth team, has opted to play his international football for Congo.
He arrived on loan from Al-Arabi, but with an option to buy that Cagliari are expected to activate.
They can then sell him on to Roma, as the Sardinians were relegated to Serie B.
M’Poku scored three goals and provided two assists in 16 Serie A games.
