New Inter signing Geoffrey Kondogbia has paid tribute to his old club before arriving for his medical this morning. 

The Nerazzurri finally announced a deal expected to be worth over €40m last night, after he had been widely expected to join rivals Milan.

The Frenchman arrived in Milan this morning in order to undergo his medical and bid farewell to his old club with a message on his Facebook account.

The Frenchman arrived in Milan this morning in order to undergo his medical and bid farewell to his old club with a message on his Facebook account.

“I want to thank Monaco for the last two years full of emotions and a special mention for Claudio Ranieri and Leonardo Jardim,” he wrote.

“I also want to spare a thought for all my teammates and to Vadim Vasilyev and Dmitrij Rybolovlev [Vice-President and owner of Monaco].

“Thank you also to the Monaco fans, who have always supported me. Thank you.”

The 22-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract with the San Siro club that is believed to be in the region of €5m per season.
