Udinese reach Pepe deal?

Udinese are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign out-of-contract Juventus winger Simone Pepe.

TuttoUdinese.it reports that the 31-year-old has reached an agreement with the Zebrette, who would avoid paying a transfer fee due to the player’s expiring deal with the Old Lady.

The website believes that confirmation will arrive in the next few days and that the 23-time Italy international is expected in Udine today to undergo a medical.

For Pepe the move would mark a return to his former club, as he left the Friuli outfit for Turin in 2010 after scoring 14 goals in 104 appearances for them.

The winger has found himself largely side-lined at Juventus and only made 12 league appearances under Coach Massimiliano Allegri during the 2014-15 season, scoring one goal.
