Genoa reveal “Lazio, Milan, Inter and Napoli” are interested in Diego Perotti, but “the only offer was from Watford.”

The club had agreed terms with newly-promoted Premier League side Watford for €9.7m, but the Argentine rejected this move.

“Watford aside, there have been no other formal offers for Perotti,” Genoa President Enrico Preziosi told Secolo XIX.

The club had agreed terms with newly-promoted Premier League side Watford for €9.7m, but the Argentine rejected this move.

“Watford aside, there have been no other formal offers for Perotti,” Genoa President Enrico Preziosi told Secolo XIX.

“Lazio, Milan, Inter and Napoli showed interest, but then nothing concrete. In my view he’s staying and will not go anywhere.”

However, Preziosi did admit Watford’s wage proposal could cause a problem for Genoa.

“I can’t go mad or break the salary cap. I can improve his wages to €1m, but not beyond that. I certainly cannot reach the €1.8m per season deal he was proposed elsewhere. It depends on him.”
