Amid reports of a bid from Rennes, Stefano Okaka denies he has asked to leave Sampdoria. “I’ve always been happy.”

There have been suggestions the striker was looking for a move elsewhere, particularly after clashes with now-ex Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

“I feel important for this club and I have a contract,” the Italy international told Sky Sport Italia.

“I never said that I wanted to leave, or any of the other stuff that has been written about me over the last three or four months.
