According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Palermo's first choice for a striker is Calleri, with Simeone jr a close second choice.

At the same time, the club will meet with Serie B side Pescara next week to negotiate striker Gaston Brugman, who may be viewed as a replacement on the bench rather than an alternative to Calleri or Simeone jr.

Hiljemark is also being considered for the options in midfield.
