Pre-season training started this week under new Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, but the Mexes situation is up in the air.

The defender’s contract expired on June 30 and the 33-year-old has not yet negotiated a renewal.

According to Calciomercato.it, a proposal worth €1.5m per season is being floated, but hasn’t actually been presented to the player yet.
