It’s reported that a decision over permission for Milan’s prospective new stadium has been delayed, possibly until June.

The Rossoneri have submitted plans to build a new 48,000 capacity stadium in the Portello area of the city, and were expecting a decision today.

However, Tuttosport believes that Fondazione Fiera, which owns the land in question has delayed any decision as it assesses several bids, with the ruling deferred until April, or possibly as late as June.

However, Tuttosport believes that Fondazione Fiera, which owns the land in question has delayed any decision as it assesses several bids, with the ruling deferred until April, or possibly as late as June.

However, the newspaper states that the Diavolo are still confident of winning with their plan, which would see the new ground built beside their headquarters, Casa Milan.

Meanwhile, Milan are committed to renovations of their current home, San Siro, which is shared with city rivals Inter.

The famous stadium must be upgraded to meet requirements to host next year’s Champions League final.

The Rossoneri are hoping to leave Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in time for the 2018/19 season, with Inter then planning to take over ownership from the city council and carry out more improvements.

However, the Nerazzurri have also hinted that they could construct a new stadium, should their co-tenants fail in their bid for the land in Portello.
