Fassone appealed to this situation to explain the possibility of Xheridan Shaqiri leaving Inter only six months after he was signed.
“Leaving Inter isn't easy for anyone and we know by direct experience that our players tend to grow fond of the city of Milan,” he said.
“But we must also understand that the new rules imposed by the Federcalcio have changed the situation.
“We must now prepare a list of 25 players for the championship, so there is a real risk of being excluded for those who are placed on the transfer market.
“Is Ricky Alvarez going to Sunderland? Inter appealed to FIFA, because Sunderland did not accept the Transfer Matching System made by Inter.
“Since there was a deal for a compulsory purchase of the player should their team not be relegated, we asked FIFA for a compensation and for an indemnity for their behaviour.
“After all, in our discussions over financial fair play regulations we included the revenue from the sale of Alvarez, and UEFA have already certified that transaction for Inter.”
Finally, Fassone turned to the much-discussed signing of Geoffrey Kondogbia from Monaco.
“We're pleased that a player with his skills should have accepted our projected at a slightly lower salary than what had been offered.
“[FIGC President Carlo] Tavecchio is worried about the expenses of Milan and Inter? He's right to ask questions, but the answers will be had on August 31.
“We have some duties towards UEFA, over and beyond those we have towards Italian fair play, and we'll do everything we can to respect them.
“Juventus? We'll find out next season if they weakened their squad, but I think they did well on the transfer market so far.”
