Juventus deny that director general Beppe Marotta ever attacked agent Mino Raiola's statements and play down the controversy.

The prominent agent claimed yesterday that Barcelona would have to speak to him, rather than to the Bianconeri, if they hoped to sign Paul Pogba.

The site of Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo published some statements by Marotta this morning that came down heavily on the agent, suggesting a clash between the club and the agent.

But according to Sky Sports Italia, Juventus are now disclaiming the controversy, as Marotta apparently never said anything to El Mundo Deportivo.

Sky Sports speculates that the Spanish outlet simply reformulated some old quotes by Marotta.
