Lazio rejected “huge offers” for Lucas Biglia, Ron Vlaar isn’t an option, but there’s “no deal” for Ricardo Kishna or Sergej Milikovic-Savic.
Director of sport Igli Tare spoke at a Press conference today and was asked about their transfer strategy.
“The priority was to work on sales, as with the new rules we can only have 25 players in the squad. We do need something in midfield and a wide attacker, but with two players like that our market will be complete.

“I can say that Milinkovic-Savic and Kishna are players with the characteristics we are looking for, but the market is unpredictable and things can change from one moment to the next. Nothing has been concluded as of yet, but I cannot discuss specifics right now.”
There were reports Rafa Benitez wanted Argentina international Biglia for Real Madrid and Tare hinted that was true.
“It’s fundamental for our growth process to resist important bids. We did receive huge offers, but we have to give a sense of consistency to the project.
“Biglia is important for us, he is under contract for another three years and when he returns from his vacation we’ll let him know how fundamental he is for our team.
“Felipe Anderson is worth a great deal. We never calculated the exact amount because we wanted at all costs to extend his contract.
“Vlaar was offered to us, but from what I know he has injury problems and this is why we cannot take him into consideration.
“Mario Balotelli? He was never offered to Lazio. Federico Marchetti and Senad Lulic were offered contract renewals and I hope they accept them, as they are both important for our project.”
