The Tuscans have already sold Mirko Valdifiori to Napoli, where he reunited with former Coach Maurizio Sarri, and Albania international defender Hysaj was tipped to join them.
“We are in negotiations regarding Hysaj with an overseas club, but not with Napoli,” Empoli director of sport Marcello Carli told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“There was some contact with the Azzurri, but we never finalised it. Just as Torino were looking at Valdifiori, Hysaj too is of interest to other clubs.
“We are keeping Tonelli, Saponara and Rui. As far as they are concerned, the transfer market is closed.”
