Schalke 04 have reportedly made a €14m bid for Inter’s Xherdan Shaqiri, but the player is pushing for better terms.

Calciomercato.it has reported that the Bundesliga outfit have offered a €14m transfer fee for the Switzerland international, but the issue may lie in the contract terms.

Schalke are believed to have put on the table a four or five-year deal worth €3m per year plus bonuses, the same amount Shaqiri earns at Inter.

However, the report says that the German club may have to slightly improve their offer in order to convince the player of a move.

The 23-year-old only arrived at San Siro in January, but is believed to have been deemed surplus to requirements by Coach Roberto Mancini after failing to impress.
