Genoa confirm “we are trying to convince” Roma striker Juan Manuel Iturbe to accept a loan move to Marassi.
The forward is available on loan just a year after arriving from Hellas Verona for €20m plus bonuses.
“We are working seriously and trying to convince Iturbe to come to Genoa,” President Enrico Preziosi told Mediaset Premium.
“We’re pushing hard and he is hesitant. There is that moment of reflection that he will take with his agent, then I hope next week everything can be clearer.”
The 22-year-old struggled to make an impact last season, scoring only four goals in 37 competitive games for Roma.
He is likely to get even less playing time after the arrival of Iago Falque from Genoa and Chelsea's Mohamed Salah.
