“We are facing a side that has reinforced a great deal over the summer,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“If we looked at the teams on paper, you’d think there was no chance, but football is the greatest sport in the world because anything can happen. We will play our game.

“Roma keep possession well and have some extremely strong strikers. Just look at their bench and the so-called second string players to see this is a team built to fight for the Scudetto.

“We have prepared well for this match and hope to cause them problems.”

Luca Toni was Capocannoniere with Inter’s Mauro Icardi last season and is now reunited with his former Fiorentina teammate Giampaolo Pazzini.
“Will they both start tomorrow? We’ll see how Roma are set out. Toni will be decisive again, while Pazzini’s had a few goals in his career too…

“It will be important to have the right attitude, as we need that to counter their undoubted quality. It’s the first game of the season, everyone is curious to see what will happen and wants to be there.

“Leandro Greco will play in front of the defence and Rafael Marquez could be an alternative. I have to decide between Samuel Souprayen and Michelangelo Albertazzi."
