Palermo have officially announced the signing of Alberto Gilardino from Guangzhou Evergrande.

The former Milan striker accepted the move to Sicily some time ago, but paperwork has held up his move to the Rosanero.

However, in a statement on the club’s website, it has been officially announced that the 2006 World Cup-winner will join the Sicilian side.

The striker will arrive in Sicily tomorrow morning, and be presented to fans and media next week.
