The Italy Coach spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of Thursday’s Euro 2016 qualifier in Florence.

“It absolutely will not be easy. Malta have made a lot of progress thanks also to their Coach Pietro Ghedin. They defend with at least eight men behind the ball and then attack on the counter.

“After the games with Malta and then Bulgaria on Sunday, we’ll have a clearer idea of how close we are to qualification. I want to point out nobody in the group is qualified yet.

“In Italy we complain about all the issues and the problems, but then if the Nazionale doesn’t win, it’s considered a failure regardless. I know that.

“Being a national team Coach is different to club level. I try to put my experience to the service of the club, trying to improve myself all the time too.

“My future? Let’s concentrate on the present, there’s still time to talk about my future.”
