Jose Mauri’s agent assures Milan never intended to loan or sell the midfielder, despite rumours.

He arrived for free following Parma’s bankruptcy over the summer.

“I want to clarify things, as some untrue stories circulated,” representative Dino Zampacorta told Calcionews24.com.

“Milan did not offer Jose to Empoli. I never even got an inkling that the club was thinking about a decision like that.

“Clearly the fact he was left out of the squad list against Fiorentina made four clubs prick their ears up, including Chievo and Atalanta who pushed to take him, but Milan did not loan the player.

“Jose is at Milan, a big club. Clearly he’s not happy to be left out, but he appreciated the project and is accustomed to doing his talking on the pitch.”

If Mauri continues to get so little playing time, will he ask for a January loan move?

“There are many months to go, so we’ll have to wait and see. Mauri didn’t just come to Milan for the prestige or money. He wants to grow and improve as a player, but he can only do that if he is taken into consideration. I can’t rule anything out.”
