They’ve had their worst ever start to a Serie A campaign with two consecutive defeats against Udinese and Roma.

“I remain optimistic,” Fiat Chrysler President Elkann told reporters at the Expo in Milan.

“This team has changed a great deal and we’re building a long-term project. There’s a much lower average age to the squad, but with players who have experience in international competitions.

“Juve poured resources into building a strong squad and proved over all these years that we have a long-term vision behind our actions.

“Nobody believed in what we were doing years ago, when we started sowing the seeds of the great team that won so much.

“Juve have always shown great courage, long-term vision and realised to have a strong team you must invest in youth.

“Of course every team has to learn to play together, but I have faith.”
