The Viola squeezed a 1-0 victory on Saturday evening and now have six points from three Serie A rounds.

Supporters at the Stadio Franchi protested against the club’s transfer strategy again, including a banner that read: ‘We love the jersey, not your project.’

“It was a great victory achieved with tenacity and the spirit of sacrifice, all of which are values of this club,” said Della Valle.

“We’ll take these three points and try to continue this journey. We will try to stay calm.

“There’s a lot I could talk about, but I am absolutely not causing controversy with the fans. I will say there is a disturbing atmosphere. For the rest, you can draw your own conclusions.”
