The two clubs met with the city's police headquarters today and discussed the possibility of deferring the game to tomorrow evening at 19:45 UK time.

“The decision on the timing was taken after considering the state of the alert, and so we can avoid having to defer the game again.”

But the final decision on when to play the game will come down to the Lega Calcio.

In the meantime Sampdoria announced on their website that the tickets for the match are still valid, but a refund will be available if requested.
