Surprisingly, after three rounds both these sides with very different ambitions are still unbeaten with seven points.

“We care about this game and the fact we arrive at the Olimpico level on points with Roma means we’ve done something right so far,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

“There’s no need for us to start out timid or hesitant, thinking that whatever happens it’ll be an acceptable result. We intend to take the game to them.

“Roma are coming off a great performance against Barcelona, while we want to confirm our fine form despite the hiccup against Atalanta.”

It’s a return to the Capital for Di Francesco, who spent many years playing for Roma.

“I’m happy to meet up with so many friends, including Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi, and I’ll be very pleased if Roma do well from Monday onwards. It’s not the first time I’ve been back there and I am focused only on doing well with Sassuolo.”

Domenico Berardi was sorely missed following an injury and is back in the squad, albeit not fully fit yet.

“This year we’ve started out well and what I really like is the attitude, fighting back even when under pressure.

“Roma have great players and have improved from last season, but we are going to Rome in order to go for it. We’ve been unbeaten in this fixture for the last two seasons, so I’ll be happy to get a third.”
