Legia Warsaw Coach Henning Berg accepts he could be sacked with defeat to Napoli in the Europa League.

This game kicks off on Thursday at 20.05 UK time (19.05 GMT) in Poland.

“I do my work, I am not interested in speculation,” said Berg in his Press conference.

“I am not stupid or naïve. I’ve been working in football for a long time and I know everything is possible. However, I have not received any signals from the club to suggest the match with Napoli could be my last. If they want to change, they will, otherwise they won’t.

“We’ve played 20 games and won 12. We have six players out injured, but are still second in the table. We understand criticism, but people must also look at the results objectively.

“Napoli have good players like Gonzalo Higuain and it’s possible they are still smarting after losing the semi-final last season.

“They are in great shape, seeing as they beat Juventus, Lazio and Club Brugge. Tomorrow will be a big test for us.

“They’ve also got a lot of experience in Europe with players like Marek Hamsik, Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens.

“The fact we are hosting a side that has been in the Champions League suggests it ought to be a celebration for Legia Warsaw.”
