Alvaro Morata and Simone Zaza netted towards the end of either half in a 2-0 Champions League clash.

“Things went fairly well. We didn’t have many scoring opportunities, granted, but there were improvements and those obviously were not enough against a great side like Juventus.

“There was growth and that is all we have to build towards now to progress this season,” Coach Emery said in a Press conference.

“When it was 0-0 we were at least holding out against Juve, but the moment we came under pressure, this great side obviously took advantage."

Sevilla are second in the group with Manchester City on three points, while Juventus have six.

“We have won one and lost one. There are another four games in this group and we will aim to play them as best we can.

“With new players it takes more time for them to settle, especially with some of them injured. I am optimistic and am working towards improvement.

“Juve are strong in defence, but I am sure we will emerge from this defeat stronger and learn from it to improve going forward.”
