Gonzalo Higuain admits his goal against Legia Warsaw was 'among the best in my whole career', while looking forward to Milan-Napoli.

The Argentine had a terrific start to the season, inclusive of a remarkable goal against their Europa League opponent last Thursday.

“I was looking for the space to shoot, but I had many defenders in front of me,” he told La Repubblica.

“I skipped the first, then the second and even the third. At last I saw a gap and I gave it a try.

“I saw it again on TV, and it was certainly one of the best goals in my whole career.

“I shot hard, fortunately the ball went in. With two victories now we're first in the group and we can be optimistic about qualifying.”

Last year the Partenopei lost 2-1 on aggregate against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the Europa League semifinal.

“I look to the future now and I don't want to think about that game anymore. It's water under the bridge, for me and for Napoli.

“Now there's only Milan,” he said, in relation to tomorrow evening's Serie A opponents, at 19:45 UK time.

“They are an adversary with a very prestigious history behind them and a name worthy of a top club.

“Tomorrow evening we'll be up for a tough 90 minutes at San Siro.

“We're going to face another difficult match, I'm absolutely certain of that.”
