“We must continue like this, as we haven’t achieved anything yet,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Tomorrow is an important game, we know that we have to improve and have the right approach. We’re on home turf, so we must take the initiative.”

Local rivals Frosinone are fresh from their first ever Serie A victory over Empoli, having also held Juventus 1-1 in Turin.

“I say we prepared for this game with humility, because it will not be easy. Frosinone are set out well and even when losing caused serious problems for their opponents.

“We must be precise on a technical level, be positive and all together do something more.”

The Aquile appear to be back on track after beating Verona, Genoa and nine-man Saint-Etienne, putting a 5-0 drubbing to Napoli behind them.

“The team is more united and solid now, with the spirit of a side that must give its best every time. The only thing that counts is the result right now.

“This season we didn’t have the right approach to a couple of games, but we learned something from those incidents and are still seeking our best balance.”

Pioli has also had to do with injury problems and getting Lucas Biglia back in midfield has made a huge difference.

“Antonio Candreva will have his first training session with the full squad today and if he responds well, he’ll be called up.

“We know that we all have to put in the extra effort and grit our teeth to move up the table. We mustn’t keep comparing every performance to last season. We changed players, others are injured.

“We laid the foundations last term, but need to grow and be more compact in defence. It’s time to look at the present and stop glancing over our shoulders.”
