The Partenopei are on spectacular form and confirmed it with a dominant performance at San Siro.

“We made seven changes from Thursday’s Europa League game against Legia Warsaw. We’re in good shape at the moment there is enthusiasm,” Sarri told Mediaset Premium.

Since moving to the 4-3-3 system, Napoli have scored 18 goals in all competition and conceded just one.

“I don’t think the system can make all that much difference. The team is in really good shape right now and the lads are enjoying their football.

“We still need to improve, as the first 25-30 minutes we were too deep. Tonight Milan had a good opening half-hour, then found themselves behind.

“They ran out of steam and we didn’t. The result also took on a strange dimension considering the first half. I can still see margins for improvement.”

Considering their run of form and the struggles of other giants, can this Napoli challenge for the title?

“It’s blasphemy to talk about the Scudetto. Our only thought is the next game against Fiorentina, I am incapable of looking beyond that.”
