Adem Ljajic's five minutes of playing time in InterSampdoria could be a punishment for the player's lack of effort, say reports.

The young Serbian joined the Nerazzurri from Roma last summer but has seen very little playing time under Coach Roberto Mancini.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Mancini was sending the player a message by subbing him in last after Jonathan Biabiany and Rey Manaj.

Ljajic had been warming up, but he stopped the process to go chat with Marcelo Brozovic when he realised Manaj would take to the pitch before him.

The publication suggests that Mancini is not giving Ljajic space because of the latter's failure to put appropriate effort in training.
