The negotiation for Bee Taechaubol's purchase of 48 per cent of the club's shares has been proceeding very slowly, but may be coming to the final stages.

Both Il Corriere dello Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport report today of a meeting set up between Mr Bee and two major representatives of Fininvest, Silvio Berlusconi's holding company.

Alessandro Franzosi, in charge of mergers and acquisitions, and Alberto Carletti, the finance director, will be in Hong Kong for a significant summit with Mr Bee on Monday and Tuesday.

While the meeting will not close the sale quite yet, it should define the details as the process enters the final stage.
