Their visit to the Stadio Friuli kicks off today at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

“I can confirm that there will be a substantial squad rotation,” Stellone told the Press. “There are many reasons behind this.

“I want a fresh team for this game and Wednesday in Florence alike. It's right that someone should rest.

“Our game against Sampdoria left a bit of damage in terms of the player's muscles and I should give them a break.

“I'll give more space to those who played before them, and I also want to see some of my lads who have been given little or no time.

“I know perfectly well that the result will tell us whether the choice was smart or not, but undoubtedly it's the right thing to do in terms of handling the group.”

Stellone was then asked which of the two games, between Udinese and Fiorentina, was the most important one.

“It's the same thing, but clearly the most important game for us right now is the one we're playing next.

“We'll decide our formation also in terms of what they choose to deploy. We can have three or four men in the midfield.

“We know very well that there are another 30 games to go and we could still spoil everything, but coming into this game with seven points rather than two makes a difference.

“We can't afford to underestimate anyone and we must try taking the most from every game. Hence the squad rotation.

“Someone who hasn't played for three or four games always gives you a little extra something.”

Finally the 38-year-old Coach was asked about their opponents, Udinese.

“They're a team who play very well. Right now they're not doing equally well in terms of points, but they have strong legs and they're brave.

“They have some weaknesses, but they have quality players. We'll have to try and exploit this with an intelligent game.

“I'll also be expecting an important response from those who played less. [Robert] Gucher and [Daniel] Pavlovic will not be available.”
