Juventus have lost Roberto Pereyra and Kwadwo Asamoah to muscular injuries, the club confirms.

Pereyra came off injured after 37 minutes of yesterday’s win over Atalanta, and faces over a month on the sidelines.

His replacement Asamoah has also succumbed to a muscular injury, and is out for the next three weeks.

“During the match, El Tucumano [Pereyra] suffered a muscular problem in his right thigh,” a statement on the Bianconeri’s official website confirmed.

“During the match, El Tucumano [Pereyra] suffered a muscular problem in his right thigh,” a statement on the Bianconeri’s official website confirmed.

“Diagnostic tests carried out this morning showed a second-degree injury to semimembranosus muscle, with the recovery time needed estimated to be 40 days.

“The Ghanaian midfielder [Asamoah] also suffered a muscular problem, a first-degree injury to the biceps femoris of the left thigh, so the prognosis for recovery is 20 days.”
