Juventus have confirmed that midfielder Sami Khedira suffered only a “mild strain” in the win over Torino.
The German international went off injured after just nine minutes of the Derby della Mole, prompting fears he had torn a calf muscle.
“Sami Khedira was subjected to diagnostic tests this morning,” a statement on the Bianconeri’s official website confirmed.

“Sami Khedira was subjected to diagnostic tests this morning,” a statement on the Bianconeri’s official website confirmed.
“The tests excluded a muscular tear, and showed a mild strain. Therefore, the player will not be available for the trip to Germany, and his condition will be monitored over the coming days.”
Khedira has not been included in the squad to face Borussia Monchengladbach, but could return for the trip to Empoli.
