Radja Nainggolan insists Roma “should be more worried than satisfied” after a chaotic 3-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen.

The Giallorossi were 2-0 up at the break, but quickly conceded two goals for the draw before a late Miralem Pjanic penalty.

“If we had been 5-0 up at half-time, nobody could’ve said that was an undeserved result,” Nainggolan told Roma TV.

“Our major fault is that we left the locker room for the second half very sluggishly and this penalised us. They got us back, but we rolled our sleeves up to build a deserved victory.”

The Belgian midfielder gave a very different view to that of his Coach Rudi Garcia.

“We shouldn’t be satisfied with our reaction, but worried that we allowed them to equalise. It’s not possible that we keep getting pegged back this way.

“We thought that we had the game in hand and underestimated their reaction. Bayer did really well and put us in the situation where we had to fight back too.

“We sought the victory and deserved it, but we must improve in the way we control a game.”

It shouldn’t have been a surprise, as when these teams met in Germany Roma fumbled a 4-2 lead to draw 4-4 in the final minutes.
