Former Inter President Massimo Moratti says the short-term signing of New York City FC’s Andrea Pirlo is ‘a very good idea’.
The Italy international was linked with a Nerazzurri return two days ago, during the MLS off-season between November and February.
Moratti was encouraged by the idea and also confirmed ‘I’m willing to sell my shares’ in the club.
“I’m very pleased with this Inter,” he said to Gazzetta.it.
“Winning important matches means having deserved security - I send an affectionate greeting to everyone.
"Pirlo? It’s a very good idea, I find it very interesting.
"I haven’t spoken with (Erick) Thohir about my role in the club, neither of us wanted to.
“I’m willing to sell my shares, but not with an arm wrestle.
“Would I be willing to stay? Of course, Inter and always Inter.”
