“I want to thank the fans and the city of Carpi for the moving welcome they gave me,” said Castori in his Press conference.

“All this makes me so happy and thankful to everyone. I thank the club for recalling me, I’m happy to be back here and want to leave the past behind me. We must all look forward, starting from the Sassuolo game.

“We need to rediscover that calm, that positive attitude shaking pressure off our shoulders. We are chasing the teams ahead of us in the table and I told the lads it is possible to win from bottom.

“Sassuolo are very strong and the fact it is a local derby will give the fans even more passion. It is our duty to seek points against everyone, regardless of their quality or fame.

“It is better to work than to speak and I didn’t need to say that much to the players. We do have to shake off that mental pressure that at times makes us afraid. We are bottom of the table, but must have a positive attitude.

“If facing a side of great quality, Carpi must step up the aggression and pressing to make up for it.”
