Milan’s Mario Balotelli will reportedly have an operation next week and could return after the winter break.
The striker has been struggling with a groin injury he sustained at the end of September and it appears that the conservative treatment has not helped him recover.
Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that the 25-year-old has been convinced to undergo surgery to resolve the problem.
The newspaper says that a new problem was revealed during Balotelli’s consultation in Denmark on Monday of a groin hernia.
The operation could happen next week and Gazzetta believes the recovery time shouldn’t be too long and that the Liverpool forward should be available again after the winter break.
