Arsenal are intensifying their interest in Napoli midfielder Jorginho, but a January exit is unlikely to happen.

The 23-year-old struggled for consistency under Rafa Benitez since arriving from Hellas Verona in January 2014, but has rediscovered his form with Maurizio Sarri in charge.

It was already known that Arsenal had sent scouts to view Jorginho in recent weeks.

According to The Mirror newspaper, that interest is intensifying with an offer lined up for the January transfer window.

They are unbeaten in 15 official matches, winning 11 of the last 13, scoring 33 goals and conceding only three.

Jorginho was born in Brazil and moved to Italy at a young age, growing up in the Verona youth academy.
