Lazio captain Stefano Mauri has undergone radio frequency treatment on a herniated disc and should be out for three weeks.

As confirmed by the Biancocelesti medical staff this week, they opted for a non-surgical procedure on his back.

A statement today noted the treatment went well and “the athlete will have a period of absolute rest for five days.”

After that he will be evaluated to decide on how quickly he can resume training.
