Roberto Donadoni felt Bologna “deserved something more” than a 2-2 draw with Roma.

The Rossoblu had gone in front, were trailing 2-1 and equalised with a late Mattia Destro penalty, both neither side was happy with the referee.

“We deserved something more than a draw and in the first half should’ve been more than just 1-0 up,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“We deserved something more than a draw and in the first half should’ve been more than just 1-0 up,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“The two penalties against made us suffer, but then we got the result back on track. I am happy with the lads, both those who started and came off the bench.

“There were some decisions by the referee that left a bitter taste in our mouths, but at the same time we have to be understanding in these difficult circumstances.”

The pitch was waterlogged and rain continued to pour down throughout the match.

They remain unbeaten since Donadoni took over from Delio Rossi, winning two games and drawing one with seven goals scored and two conceded.

“From my first day at Bologna, these players have been ready to work and eager to prove themselves.

“Before there was pressure because of the negative results, but now we must continue with this spirit. The journey can become less perilous, but so much depends on us.”
