Davide Ballardini believes Palermo “could’ve won” their 1-1 draw at Lazio, his first game in charge.
The new Rosanero Coach made his debut at the Stadio Olimpico and the decision to give Edoardo Goldaniga his first Serie A start paid off, as the young defender scored.
“We played well and created four or five clear scoring opportunities. We probably deserved to win the game,” Ballardini told Sky Sport Italia.

Another change from the Beppe Iachini reign was the introduction of Gaston Brugman in midfield.
“I’ve known about Brugman for a while now. He is an attacking midfielder and capable of playing between the lines. He’s an important player for us and did well today.”
