The Viola surprisingly lost both home fixtures to Basel and Lech Poznan, but won both on their travels so far.
“We made life difficult for ourselves, above all at home. We are aware of that and want to recover lost ground so we can qualify,” said the defender in his Press conference.

“A very difficult game awaits us, but we are ready and I’m sure we’ll get an excellent result. We try to improve game by game and are on a path that keeps on leading upwards.
“Many things have changed since the last time we played Basel and we are more tuned in with what the Coach asks of us. We were only at the beginning then, but now are some way into our journey.
“This match will be fundamental for our Europa League campaign and we will do everything to win.
“I know the Europa League Final will be played in this stadium. It is my first time here in Basel, but obviously I hope to be back…”
