Omar El Kaddouri pointed out “Muslims hate what is happening” after terror alerts forced Club Brugge-Napoli behind closed doors.

The Europa League match must be played without a crowd, as much of Belgium remains on high alert following the attacks in Paris.

“Playing behind closed doors won’t be an advantage for us, as it’ll be strange for both teams,” said El Kaddouri in his Press conference.

The Europa League match must be played without a crowd, as much of Belgium remains on high alert following the attacks in Paris.

“Playing behind closed doors won’t be an advantage for us, as it’ll be strange for both teams,” said El Kaddouri in his Press conference.

“My tweet full of rage after the Paris attacks was my way of letting it be known we Muslims hate what is happening. I wanted to speak for many Muslims and I hope the message came through.

“Tomorrow I’m playing just 100km from my home, but I won’t be able to see my friends and family who were due to come to the game.”

Coach Maurizio Sarri also interceded when El Kaddouri was asked about the terrorism threat.

“Tomorrow we have to play football, Omar must focus on playing a great game without thinking of what is behind this terror attack that is very sad for us and all Muslims.

“If we get back to talking about the game, I’d be happier.”
