Sinisa Mihajlovic believes Milan “can do better” and will make it into the Champions League.
The Rossoneri lost to Juventus last weekend, and face Vincenzo Montella’s Sampdoria at San Siro tomorrow.
“Since the Napoli game we’ve taken over two points per game,” Mihajlovic noted in his pre-match Press conference.
“I’m convinced we can keep this up, and last year that would have guaranteed a Champions League place.
“We have six games until the second half of the season, then we’ll have almost all direct clashes in the second round, and I’m convinced we can do better.”
Montella lost his first game in charge of Samp last week, but Mihajlovic, a former Blucerchiati boss, believes it’s too early to judge.
“It’s too soon to judge from a single game. Sampdoria are a tricky team with players in midfield and up-front who can change the game at any time.
“I wish only the best for Sampdoria and my former President [Massimo Ferrero] who I hope never loses his smile.
“I’m convinced we can win tomorrow. It’ll be tough, but it’s down to us.”
