“The Coach is in the locker room with the lads and preferred to send me at this delicate time,” Gerolin told Sky Sport Italia when Ballardini failed to attend post-match media conferences.
“Now we’ll see. We have taken this path and must maintain our calm in a difficult moment. We’ve seen there are five or six teams within a small radius, so only hard work can get the results we need.
“On Sunday we have a head-to-head clash with Frosinone, who are one point behind us. I can only say we need our fans right now.”
Is President Maurizio Zamparini thinking about recalling Iachini?
“The game has just ended, in about an hour we’ll talk about it. We know the President always tries to do what is best for Palermo, so he will certainly be thinking and evaluating how best to emerge from this situation.”
