Lazio have been linked with Milan’s Cristian Zapata and Udinese’s Thomas Heurtaux in their search for a new defender.
A long-term injury to Stefan De Vrij means that the Biancocelesti are in the market for a centre-back in January.
Il Messaggero reports today that Zapata, who is out of contract with the Rossoneri next summer, is being considered by the Aquile hierarchy.
The report says that Heurtaux has the same agent as Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti, who is renewing with the club, making discussions for the Frenchman easier.
Dnipro’s Douglas remains the most likely foreign target, but the Ukrainian club are believed to be against sporting director Igli Tare’s proposal of a move structured around an initial loan with the right to buy.
