Bologna reportedly want Fiorentina’s Mati Fernandez on loan in January as he awaits a new Viola contract.

The Chile international’s current deal is due to expire in the summer, but they are believed to be close to agreeing an extension until 2018.

La Nazione has reported today that Bologna are one of several clubs interested in the attacking midfielder.

The newspaper writes that the Rossoblu will wait for the contract situation to develop further before deciding on whether to try and take the 29-year-old on loan.
