This weekend’s win over Frosinone was reportedly enough to ensure Palermo Coach Davide Ballardini keeps his job over the winter break.

The former Cagliari boss stepped in earlier this season to replace the sacked Beppe Iachini, but has struggled to turn things around in Sicily.

However, Saturday’s 4-1 victory at home to their relegation rivals has done enough to convince Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini not to make another coaching change, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

However, Saturday’s 4-1 victory at home to their relegation rivals has done enough to convince Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini not to make another coaching change, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The newspaper writes that Zamparini had already contacted Iachini about a return and that a defeat against Frosinone would’ve meant another change of Coaches.

However, a win means that Ballardini will remain in charge at the Renzo Barbera over the winter break.
